We are committed to user privacy. We do not sell your data. We do not track your browsing history across the web.The Extension only activates and processes data when you explicitly interact with it (e.g., by clicking the capture button or using a shortcut).

2. Data We Collect

• User Content: When you use Sitta to capture a webpage, we collect the screenshot image, the URL of the captured page, and any annotations or comments you add. This data is stored to provide the core functionality of the Service (displaying and sharing your observations).
• Account Information: If you sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile information to manage your account and authenticate your access.
• Technical Data: We may collect limited technical data necessary for the operation of the Service, such as browser version, extension version, and error logs for debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Extension Permissions

The Chrome Extension requires specific permissions to function. Here is exactly how we use them:

• Host Permissions (`<all_urls>`): Required to allow the extension to capture screenshots and inject the annotation interface on any website you choose to inspect. The extension does not monitor your browsing activity or collect data from pages you do not actively capture.
• Scripting: Used to inject the annotation overlay code into the active tab when you trigger the extension.
• ActiveTab: Used to access the current tab's content to generate the screenshot when you initiate a capture.
• Storage: Used to save your local settings (e.g., theme preference) and temporary capture data before it is synced to the web platform.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your captured content (screenshots and annotations) is retained until you delete it. You can delete individual captures or your entire account at any time through the Sitta dashboard. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase, Vercel) to host our Service and store data securely. These providers are compliant with industry security standards and process data only on our behalf.
